About Us

We are a dedicated to fostering curiosity and creativity through play-based learning. We aim to create an environment to support each child's natural desire to explore while promoting self help skills. 

Andy grew up in San Francisco and has always worked with kids through volunteer programs throughout his youth. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and has 15 ECE units from City College of San Francisco. He has previous experience at an in-home day care and most recently worked as an early preschool teacher / preschool teacher at Second Generation - Bright Horizons. He is partnering up with his mother, Amy, who has over 18 years of early childhood education experience to open up Sunset Scholars Preschool. She currently operates Happy Childcare in the Parkside neighborhood.

Primary ages served are 2-4 years old.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday // 7:30am - 6:00pm

Meals & Snacks

We will provide AM snack, Lunch, and PM snack. A majority of the food served will be organic.

Daily Schedule:

• 7:30am - 8:30am - Drop off/Free Choice Activities

• 8:30am - 9:30am - AM Snack

• 9:30am - 10:00am - Circle Time / Morning Meeting

• 10:00am - 11:00am - Learning Activity

• 11:00am - 12:00pm - Outdoor Play

• 12:00pm - 1:00pm - Lunch

• 1:00pm - 3:00pm - Rest Time

• 3:00pm - 4:00pm - PM Snack 

• 4:00pm - 4:45pm - Afternoon Learning Activity

• 4:45pm - 6:00pm - Free Choice Activity and/or Outdoor Play

Brightwheel:

Brightwheel will be used to communicate daily activities with parents and guardians. It can be accessed through the Brightwheel app or on the website (https://mybrightwheel.com/). We will use it to log meals, diapering and activities through the app. Curriculum will also be posted on the app weekly.
